Setting the Scene

I had this game reserved for a while and when it came out I literally ran to the store. Right from the start this game immerses you into the whole atmosphere of a big game. It starts with rockin music and shows Frank just smacking the ball. By the end of the demo your are desperate to play-ball. For anyone who doesn't know, Frank Thomas is quite a guy. Some of his sporting achievements are detailed below:

Graphics

The players are well animated and only get a little pixilated when they get extremely close up, they move with fluid animation and the stadiums are very detailed. The only drawback is that the cities all look the same.

Sounds and Effects

The sound effects will have you "screaming for popcorn" from the usher as you play. It starts off with a very believable announcer and ends with the sound in the background of the guy selling peanuts. You will not believe your ears, its just like your right there in the middle of the park.

Playability

The control is as tight as you could want and only has problems when you put it on manual play instead of auto. This game has enough options to keep you coming back for more:

Value for Money

As a 2 Player game, this is superb. Eight different throws available. Over 700 players featured, each with their own individual stats. Both American and National teams are featured. If you want a game that concentrates on baseball and not just flashy screens then I would highly recommend this game to you.
