Steve "Overall,
the GT Mode alone is an incredible piece of programming that will
appeal to anyone that enjoys driving simulations. The sheer amount
of cars, options and flexibility that this game offers is staggering
almost to the point of being intimidating.
Sure there are still areas of programming that could and should
have been tightened up, but the fact remains that we only noticed
(and got annoyed by) them because of the simple fact that we all
WANTED this highly complex game to be PERFECT.
When we asked over 1000 of our readers for their verdict on the
initial 'bugged' NTSC version of the game, the massive majority
of them said that while they were disgusted in Sony for releasing
a sub-standard product, they still believed that GT2 was the best
racing simulation out there.
Now that the worst of those problems have been eradicated, the
simple fact of the matter is that the game is light-years ahead
of its time - even with the handful of annoying 'glitches' that
occasionally rear their ugly head within the game." |
