| Setting
the Scene: Yee-Haw!! Grab yourself a six pack, your favorite huntin' dog and load up the truck cause we is going out fer a little ride! You've got yourself a 4x4 truck and you're ready do some off and on-road racing. This is a no holds barred racing format. Bash into your competition and knock them off the road if you need to. May the best truck win! Sound and Vision: The soundtrack is good and you are able to choose from about six tunes, or the game will continue to rotate through them. One odd thing is that this is sponsored by TNN (The NASHVILLE Network), so you'd expect a soundtrack of country music. Instead, the music can best be described as hard rock. Even with the music, the truck sounds are not drowned out and the sound FX are realistic and do change when you drive over different surfaces. You hear the sound of water rushing when you go through shallow water, etc. The graphics are excellent. As you play and open new tracks, you see night driving, rainy driving and driving in fog along with clear conditions. Each of these is done very well and "feels" realistic. The fog and night driving really show your vision ahead is obscured. You have to learn the track to not end up sliding off the road on hard turns (and some of those slides can take you off of cliffs!). I was able to immediately know what surface I was driving on and the feedback on the controller verified it. The developers obviously didn't spend a lot of time on the background graphics, but since your focus is on the road, you don't really notice it. I only found a few instances of the scene not rendering properly. This seemed to happen when I was in a tunnel and far on one side or the other.
