You
get to chose between 12 (I think) different bikers in this race to fame or
failure. You must qualify on five different tracks, that get progressively
longer as you increase in levels, all the while trashing with other bikers,
cars, the police and a moose.
Unlike other racing games, if you don't
want to pull over when the cops flip on their sirens then don't. Just beat crap
out of them and get the heck out of there.
If you can manage to finish
the race you will receive a cash prize that gets higher as you place higher.
After acquiring a heap of cash you can trade in your old bike and buy a faster
and better handling one. If you finish in 1st, 2nd or 3rd you will qualify for
that particular track. After qualifying for all the tracks you will move up a
level (up to level five).
After finishing the race either in first place, last place, in a
flaming heap or in the back of a cop car, a video will come on to let you know
how the other bikers feel.
Like all good games there a few improvements
that could make it a great game:
1. A split screen option or link option
to race against a friend would be awesome.
2. The tracks get
repetitive, very quickly.
3. The characters should be able to purchase
weapons.
NOTE: Not all racers start off with a weapon, but you can
steal one from other bikers, YOU CAN EVEN SWIPE THE COPS BATON!
4. I
would love to reprogram the control pad. It`s a pain to kick other bikes, unless
your left handed.
5. How about building your own bike, maybe with nitrous?
6. Character creation would add a lot more depth to the game. Sorry,
that`s just my RPG side talking again
Don`t get me wrong this game is
very cool. If you like Violent, fast and funny games then at least rent this
one. Whoever said pedestrians had the right of way? Try running the people
over in the street or kicking a fellow biker in front of on-coming traffic while
doing 140 m.p.h.. Hee Hee I love doing that.
