Here
we are in the world of fairground attraction! The game provides you with the
chance to build your very own fun park, consisting of everything from the bouncy
castle to the stinky toilets, big wheel to the biggest roller coaster in the
world.
|
|
Starting
with a section of land you must construct a theme park and run it as a
profitable buisness.
|
|
As
the game is based around your park, the main screen consists of your rides,
stalls, staff and of course the little people (visitors!). The rides and stalls
are clear enough, with most of the rides allowing you to give them a quick try.
Jump on-board one of them and you will be treated to a great animated sequence,
showing exactly what thrills and spills the little people can expect once
paying-up their hard earned cash.
The graphics are bright, colorful and
clear, but hardly push the machine to the limits of its ability. To be fair (no
pun!), there isn't very much more that they could have done to graphically
enhance this type of game, its on a par with games such as Sim-City.
|
|
As
you wander around your new creations, the music will automatically change
according to your current surroundings. As you pass the snake ride, the sound of
snake charming music can be heard and as you pass the ghost house, the music
transforms into a spooky theme tune. Even the portable toilets make a flushing
sound as you approach them!

Where
this game really falls down, is that it`s far too hard to master. Most people
like games that have a pretty easy learning curve, so as to keep your interest
as you progress through to the more challenging and difficult levels. Not so
here, this game starts off hard and just gets harder!
If you wish to
progress through this game at any speed, then I firmly suggest that you read the
instruction manual from start to finish (and there is plenty of it to read!),
failure to do this will see you losing game after game without understanding
why. Once read, you will still find yourself going back to the instructions over
and over again, as you slowly begin to realise what is going on.
To
become successful in this game you have to master the stock market, taking
deliveries of goods for your various stores at just the right time and spending
what money you have left, building new attractions for your visitors to enjoy.
Unfortunately
the game fails to maintain your attention for long periods of time, due to the
simple fact that you will have to put far more INTO the game than you will ever
get OUT of it!
|
|
If
you enjoy games where you get the chance to play "God" (such as Sim
City) and you can combine this with a long attention span, then this might just
be the game for you. This game will get the better of most people, before they
get the better of the game.
