What's Up Doc?:

While most of us were brought up on a cartoon diet of Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Sylvester the Puddy Tat and Bug's Bunny it would be foolish to expect our kids to follow trend.

So what to do when your old faithful flagship characters become overlooked by the modern generation?
Give 'em kids too!
So welcome to Babs Bunny, Buster Bunny and Plucky Duck as they team up for an adventure aimed purely at kids below their teens.

Tiny Toons Adventures have been available on PC, SNES and Gameboy for quite some time but this is the first not to be produced by Konami. Buster and The Beanstalk is essentially a side scrolling, point and click interactive cartoon.

The first thing that pops out at you is the wonderful graphics. The animation is just as good as can be seen on the TV show. Its incredibly smooth and the colors are so vibrant, but then shouldn't this be just what was expected from a Warner Bros. product?

While the music is adequate, the voices are superb. Unlike past Tiny Toons games the original actors have been used with great effect. Of course no 'toon would be complete without the 'over the top' wacky noises. Every motion is exaggerated by some wonderful 'Whizz, Bangs and Wallops'.

For older players the gameplay will fast become dull, but then it's not really aimed at the 'Doomies' and 'Tombies' of this world. Buster and the Beanstalk is purely for kids. It's almost an animated version of those children's squeeze books where noises react to pressing a particular item on the page.

Babs Bunny first instructs the player that they must find three keys, which are divided into three pieces each. Babs offers clues on what to find, the player controls Plucky, and Buster will always guide you where to go to find the key pieces.

Each screen visited is alive with action and animation. To reach a 'clue area' several hazardous section of the beanstalk must be traversed. Plucky Duck must avoid exploding bombs, incoming missiles, swinging objects and various tricks and traps by jumping, ducking and running across the screen.

Once reaching a 'clue area' a small point and click hand is moved across the screen and activated when a hint is crossed. This usually involves Babs asking the player to find a certain object or person. Once discovered a small piece of key is given as the reward. When all sections of the key are found progress may be saved and a new task is offered.

Game Options:
