Playability: What exactly is Tron Bonne..? It can't easily be put into one, or even two categories, so let me say it like this... You control Tron, who has to raise the money that Teisel borrowed from the Loath family. Tron has a virtual army (40) of servbots, who in my opinion look like shrunken down "Lego" people. The servbots are all unique in their abilities. When you go out on missions you can take a group of these servbots with you. By firing what is called a "Beacon Bomb" at a target, the little guys will rush to that point and either attack the enemy, or loot the place. Little thieves. Try looting the cop cars or the actual cops when you're on a mission, it's funny. When you return from a mission, the goodies that were recovered can be sold, or given to servbots to enhance their stats. Each of the servbots has a rating for attack, speed, brains and sloth. The higher the stat is, the better…except for sloth of course. If a servbots sloth rating gets too high, you take them to the torture room. The torture room is a track that the lazy servbots has to run around. As he's running around the track, you get to make spikes pop out from under him, flames shoot out from under him, and drop a big weight on his head, all at the touch of a corresponding button. The animation on the little guys is too funny. You may also send out parties of 3 servbots to scout different areas of the world, which is divided into a grid. When you return from a mission, so will they, and they will have some goodies for you. Different bots have different skills, and if you give them certain items, they will realize these skills. Weapons, life bottles, room additions, soundtracks, and even Gustaffs appearance, are all things that can be brought to fruition with the help of the servbots. The missions are varied. There are shooter type missions, puzzle type missions, and exploration type missions, all with their unique tilt. Differing missions will require a different form of Gustaff. There is the normal fighting robot form, the tank form, and the remote controlled tiny form. As you pick different missions, all the abilities of each are told to you through the voiceovers that were mentioned earlier. Game Options: This is a 1 disk game for 1 Player. It is compatible with the standard (digital) joypad and the analog stick controls of the dual shock joypad. Games can be saved via memory card (1 block per save). |
