Eight Tracks:
Go to Arcade Mode and enter the "Bonus Items" option.
You should see the letters A, B, and
C above each of the levels given. As you do
the following, they will be covered with a blue,
yellow, or red dot. To fill in the four big question marks,
go back to the main Arcade Mode screen.
Then, go to "Single Race", choose any difficulty level, and place first in each of the
four original levels with an A class car e.g., Mitsubishi GTO,
a B class car e.g., Mitsubishi Eclipse, and a C class
car (ex: Honda Civic 3-Door). After you have done this,
go back to the Bonus Items" menu and the four big question
marks should be filled in with these levels:
Autumn Ring, Deep Forest, SS R5, and Grand Valley Speedway.
That totals eight tracks.
To get the GT hi-fi mode:
Finish the GT world cup then the GT hi-fi mode
will be appear in the special event.
In arcade mode, winning first place, on any of
the original four tracks, in all three classes of
vehicles (a, b, c} will open a new track ( a total of four).
If you come in first on all eight tracks, in all classes of
vehicles, on the EASY difficulty setting, four new car manufacters
will be available for you to choose from (Toyota, Subaru, Dodge,
including a concept car, and
TVR). If you win first on all eight tracks, in all classes of vehicles,
on the NORMAL
difficulty setting, a cheesy movie and the game credits will be
available.
Break the sound barrier in GT:
Select a 4WD car. Start and get some speed. Hit a wall at 90 degree.
Hold the throttle open.
Now your car is stopped, wheels spinning and smoking. Slightly steer to
whichever you want
to go. Suddenly your car is accelerated. Try to keep your car sticking
to the wall so that the
acceleration continue.
Licenses:
First 2 parts of getting license B - you must come to a complete stop in
the checked area at the
end of the track within the time limit (36 then 27 - i think).
In all the sessions you must get under the time on the description
screen, but on the first 2
you've also got to brake and stop on the checkered bit after the finish
line. Your time doesn't
count until you've completely stopped.
LICENSE TESTS
B LICENSE
B-1 through B-7 must be passed before entering B-8.
License B-1 [Start, Accelerate, and Stop, part 1]
acccelerate in a straight line from starting point and stop completely
in the goal area at 1000
meters away. Overunning the goal area or over-time, you are
disqualified. The car is Mazda
Demio. Time limit is 36 seconds.
License B-2 [Start, Accelerate, and Stop, part 2]
Accelerate in a straight line from starting point and stop completely in
the goal area at 1000
meters away. Since the car is heavier and more powerful, you'll need to
brake earlier. The car
is Mitsubishi GTO. Time limit is 27 seconds.
License B-3 [Basic Cornering, part 1]
Accelerate the straight from starting point, turn the first corner, and
run through the finish
gate over the hill. Be careful to corner smoothly. Course-out is
disqualified. The car is Honda
CR-X Del Sol. Time limit is 29 seconds.
License B-4 [Basic Cornering, part 2]
Accelerate the straight from starting point, turn the first corner, and
run through the finish
gate over the hill. Be careful to corner smoothly. Going out of the
course disqualifies
immediately. The car is Nissan Silvia. Time limit is 26 seconds.
License B-5 [Basic Cornering, part 3]
Accelerate the straight from starting point, turn the first corner, and
run through the finish
gate over the hill. Be careful to corner smoothly. Going out of the
course disqualifies
immediately. The car is Mitsubishi GTO. Time limit is 25 seconds.
License B-6 [Basics of Complex Cornering, part 1]
Accelerate from starting point, corner the S-curve smoothly, and go
through the finish gate.
Going out of the course disqualifies immediately. The car is a FF car,
Mitsubishi FTO GPX.
Time limit is 28 seconds.
License B-7 [Basics of Complex Cornering, part 2]
Accelerate from starting point, corner the S-curve smoothly, and go
through the finish gate.
Going out of the course disqualifies immediately. The car is an FR car,
Nissan Silvia K's.
Time limit is 27 seconds.
License B-8 [B License Examination]
Time trial using the full course of Highspeed Ring. Start from still and
circle the course once.
The car is Mazda Roadster V Special. Time limit is 1 minute 22 seconds.
A LICENSE
A-1 through A-7 must be passed to enter A-8.
License A-1 [Practical Cornering, part 1]
Accelerate from starting point, turn the first corner, and go through
the finish gate. Beware
that the straight is longer than previous tests, and the entrance speed
to the corner is higher.
The car is Toyota Supra. Time limit is 34 seconds.
License A-2 [Practical Cornering, part 2]
Accelerate from starting point, turn right the first corner, and go
through the finish gate.
Beware that the straight is longer than previous tests, so that the
entrance speed to the corner
is higher. The car is Toyota Supra RZ. Time limit is 26 seconds.
License A-3 [Practical Cornering, part 3]
Accelerate through the long straight, and turn right tightly the first
corner. Since you have to
brake while turning gradually left before the first corner, the machine
tend to lose stability.
The car is Mazda RX-7. Time limit is 44 seconds.
License A-4 [Applied Complex Cornering, part 1]
Go through the complex series of corners efficiently. Do not slow down
unnecesarily,
maintain the average speed of the whole section. The car is Nissan
Skyline GT-R. Time limit
is 39 seconds.
License A-5 [Applied Complex Cornering, part 2]
Go through the high-speed left-right S-curve, and turn tight to left. It
is vital to keep the exit
speed of the last tight left turn. Touching to the wall will lose the
time big. The car is Honda
Prelude. Time limit is 32 seconds.
License A-6 [Applied Complex Cornering, part 3]
Go through the complex corners after the acceleration section. Since you
have to brake while
turning left for the first right tight-turn, machine will tend to lose
stability. Also keep the line
smooth. The car is Toyota MR2. Time limit is 27 seconds.
License A-7 [Special Technique]
Go round the 100-meter tiny specially-set circuit for 5 times. You need
to turn quickly
without spinning, using low-speed hand-brake technique. The car is
Subaru Impreza. Time
limit is 33 seconds.
License A-8 [A License Examination]
Start, turn right the first corner, go through the high-speed section,
turn right a hair-pin, then
finish. This is a tough test that goes through tight turn with
high-speed entrance. The car is
Toyota Supra RZ. Time limit is 1 minute 8 seconds.
INTERNATIONAL A LICENSE
IA-1 through IA-7 must be passed to enter IA-8.
License IA-1 [Attack the High Speed Ring]
Start from still and time the one lap time. Since it's a full course
time attack, it will require
every technique. The car is TVR Griffith. Time limit is 1 minute 7
seconds.
License IA-2 [Attack the SS Route 5]
Start from still and time the one lap time. Since it's a full course
time attack, it will require
every technique. The car is Dodge Viper. Time limit is 1 minute 30
seconds.
License IA-3 [Attack the Grand Valley]
Start from still and time the one lap time. Since it's a full course
time attack, it will require
every technique. The car is TVR Griffith. Time limit is 2 minute 3
seconds.
License IA-4 [Attack the Deep Forest]
Start from still and time the one lap time. Since it's a full course
time attack, it will require
every technique. The car is Dodge Viper. Time limit is 1 minute 23
seconds.
License IA-5 [Attack the Autumng Ring]
Start from still and time the one lap time. Since it's a full course
time attack, it will require
every technique. The car is TVR Griffith. Time limit is 1 minute 24
seconds.
License IA-6 [Attack the Trial Mountain]
Start from still and time the one lap time. Since it's a full course
time attack, it will require
every technique. The car is Dodge Viper. Time limit is 1 minute 33
seconds.
License IA-7 [Attack the SS Route 11]
Start from still and time the one lap time. It's a long and complex
course. Study the course
and reduce the time. The car is TVR Griffith. Time limit is 2 minute 11
seconds.
License IA-8 [International A License Examination] (Reversed Grand
Valley in 1 minute 59
seconds.)
A fully modified and turboed out skyline has 955 horsepower and achieves
better times than mitus 3k. A longer wheelbase allows a higher speed
maintained through the corners, which you can handle if your car is set up
right. Although it does not have a sixth gear like a mitsu 3k, it maintains a
higher overall speed. The main benefit to a mitsu 3k is you can set up for
faster accelleration.
Another tip is to actually lower the turbo rating on short tracks or tracks
with lots of turns. The decreased torque on the wheels means better handling.

The best car in the game is the Nissan Skyline GTR '95 VSPEC, if you buy
everything for it, and muck around with the gear ratios, you will be
able to do at least 370 km/h and 1/4 mile in the 8's. For a (reasonably)
cheap increase in performance (acceleration, not to mention cornering
traction) from your car, upgrade your tyres, this will knock 1/2 to 1
second from your 1/4 mile times. When you are jusdt starting the game,
try the Honda CRX EF8 for a cheap car that with minimal upgrades will
blow away the competition in most B grade races.

FAST START (1):
It's not really a cheat but a tip.
if you have a car that is very sluggish in the low end and you
have crashed, instead of wiating for the revs to come back up
slap it in 5th wait a sec and drop to first gear you'll be doning
about 35kph in 5th once dropped into 1st your at about 3-3500 rpm
It's much quicker than waiting
Submitted By: Heath Simone
FAST START (2):
If your not in manual you can't go to 5th gear so in automatic hold
down the brakes and the acceleration button until the revs get to the
red line. then let go of the brakes and your flying.

BEST CAR (1):
Buy any car and race it until you have enough to get a Mitsubishi GTO
Twinturbo (new or used). Collect enough to buy the racing modification, the
best muffler, the best turbo kit and all of the other extras available
and you will end up with the fastest car in the game at 930 HORSEPOWER!!!!!!!
SUBMITTED BY: a weird gamer
BEST CAR (2):
First:
Don't waste time and effort on the special models. Upgrade normal
cars, and you will achive higher HP and speed for a lot less money.
Second:
Take any Mitsubishi 3000GT Twin Turbo('92 model suggested cause its the
cheepest and they all turn out about the same) and upgrade it as much as
possible, mainly the #4 Turbo kit. After all the upgrades, you'll have a
4-wheel drive rocket with nearly 940 hp. This is definately better than
the fully upgraded, 941 hp Nissan Skyline Nismo, that has terrible gears
that "bounce" on the redline, preventing the high speeds that the GT3000
can achive.

DRIVING TIPS (1):
When taking turns, don't hesitate to let your car run into the wall
as long as you keep it parallel to that wall, this slows you down a
little but not as much as braking to take the turn. Same thing can
be done on turns when passing other cars by brushing up against them
in a parrallel manner - it should knock that car further back in
the field. This must be performed correclty, or you may find yourself
at the back of the field!

You can get the Nissan Nissmo 400 R by getting all the gold medals
in International A license test.
You can get the Toyota Trd 3000 GT by getting all the gold medals in
A license.
You can get the chrysler concept car by getting all the gold medals in
the B license or completing the US vs UK cup.

For the stages where you've gotta have a car with no extras,
go for the Dodge Viper - it kicks the others arse and is a good way
to get the $100,000 prize money per race.

Want some quick cash when you start?
Buy the Pulsar GTIR, once done, do a spot race at the high speed ring
(You will qualify 4 secs behind the others but should have no probs
winning the race).
This will give you $1000
Do this about 5 time to get $5000 (duh!!) then purchase a computer chip
and lighten the flywheel and make any other mods you want.
Once this is done, You should be able to race the sunday cup, Three easy
tracks, all up, if you win all three races (not hard), by the time you
sell the free car you get (sell it to mazda for $2000 extra) you should
have gotten about $30,000, do this three times in a row and presto,
close to $100,000 You can if you like hot up the pulsar some more, but
why, you can already win the sunday cup and no matter what you do to it,
it will not win many other races.

It seems there is a bug in Gran Turismo which means you can make
free duplicate copies of any parts you buy for a particular type of car.
Do this:
1.Buy two identical cars.
2.Buy loads of parts for the first one - fully spec it up.
3.Check out its list of fitted parts from the garage (you should
see a list of what you just
bought).
4.Switch to the other car and get in it (the one which you
haven't fitted any parts on yet)
and check its fitted parts list (should be empty).
5.Still in the second car, go race (Spot Race will do).
6.When you get options to qualify, go to Machine Setting, then
Change Parts. You'll now
find you can select all the parts from the other car, tires,
turbos, suspension, intercooler
etc, in effect fully spec'ing up the second car.
7.Exit the race, and go back to the garage. Check out the list
of fitted parts for both cars.
The parts are now installed for both of them!
NOTE: This won't work for the Weight Reduction or Racing Mod
options and a few other
things (like port polishing), as these are not available from the
Change Parts menu - they're not
really "parts" as such anyway. Also, it doesn't seem to work with
cars that have been won.
Here is how to get the "67 Vette into Simulation Mode. It is
rather complicated though.
You need 2 Memory Cards, a Game Shark, and the following codes
and instructions.
1)Enter the following codes into Game Shark:
8007DA480064
8009B87A0064(This is code 1 that will allow you to have
100 slots in your Garage...You must use this code.)
8009 DF2C 00B0(This code 2 which will put the '67 Vette
into the 100th slot in your garage.)
2)Start a new game with a Memory Card in slot 1 that has
NO Gran Turismo stuff on it and press select+start to
activate the codes
3)Save the game
4)Now in your garage you will find the '67 Vette and the
rest of the garage is filled with some crappy little car
that you cant sell
5)Reverse the order of the Memory Cards.
6)Start a game and go to Trade option in "My Home"
7)Select the Vette to transfer into your current garage. T
his will cost 5,000cr
8)Save the game
Enjoy your new Vette,

Just a couple more handy hints.
When negotiating really sharp corners (as in the A license test with the
Subaru) keep the power on full with the 'under-joint' of your thumb and
toggle the brakes on and off with the thumb-print part of your thumb -
effectively left foot braking (learned driving rally cars). This way you
maintain a good speed and never lets the turbo go "off-boost". It takes
some getting used to, but it really works!!
The hand-brake button can also be used to get the revs back up after a spin
to reduce the waiting time caused trying to get out of the sand. It is also
cool to end the race with big handbrake skids across the finish line.
If your car is rear-whell drive, the ultimate pose is to do a few doughnuts
in the middle of the track. Remember, though, you've got some catching up
to do afterwards.
The Honda Civic and Integra R models (when tuned to the max - about 360bhp
and light weight) will out corner and out brake just about everything! I
won the first 3 cups using a Civic R against much more powerful cars......

Theirs a way to fix cars like the skyline that redline in their final gear
All your have to do is go to setup and change the cars gear ratios.
Decrease
the ratio in the top gear( 5,6 depending on the car ) this will alow the
car to go 10,20mph faster. Once you've fooled around with it for a while
you'll get the hang of it. Yes, this means you can fix all those cars that
you put so much money into and then did'nt run as fast as your thought they
would.
And if your wondering ( how do you get that concept car ! ) Go to special
even screen and race the US vs. Europe race. You'll have to win this
race(s) twice before it will give you the car.
**SWAP COLOURS & CAR WASH FOR FREE**
Here's a way to change the colour of the cars in your garage for free:
- First, find the car that you want the colour of (but it must be
the same model, ie. if you have a white '95 vspec gt-r and you want
a red one then this will work, but not if you have a white '95 vspec
gt-r and want (say) a gold one - note this will also work on
lm cars, so if you have a black f
to lm and you want to change to green, then this will work).
- Second, now goto any race (easiest is one of the machine tests,
eg. 0-400m time trial, because it loads up the fastest, and exits
when it's over).
- Third, save the car's setup onto the memory card (it's probably
a good idea to include the colour of the car for the name, or you
may forget).
- Fourth, now do the time trial/race or exit and go back to your
garage & choose the car that you want to change the colour of
(remember, it must be the same model as the car's settings that you saved).
- Fifth, go back to the time trial/race and load the settings of
the car you just saved & voila! when you race, the car will be
the new colour! (& for free!).
This is good for trading cars between memory cards if you just
want the different colour (ie. you have 2 black fto lm's and
someone else has a green one, then get him to save the setup
(either card) and then load the setup with a black fto (on
your card) and it will become a green one - without h
aving to pay 35,000 for it. Also when the colour is changed,
the car is washed for free.
Also for a more trickier way, you can buy the car of the colour
you want, then save it's setup...restart the game (so that you
lose the car, but get back you money)...then get your car and
load the setup & you get free colour change & car wash. If
you save the existing setup then you have both c
olours on the memory card, so you can change colours whenever
you want...even between races in a championship.
Good luck! Mike H.
People say that the fastest car is the Skyline but I have found that
a Toyota Supra RZ 95 fully equiped and with the correct adjustment
to the gear ratios can give an overall top speed of 417km per hour

After winning all four races in GT League, you'll get an extra menu
in Special Events
called GT Hi-Fi. Aside from better sound effects, this mode boasts
higher resolution and
smoother frame rate by reducing background details. You'll also be
the only one on the
circuit (time trial). Don't forget to check out your replay in this
mode!

Yet another way of unlocking the High Resolution (Hi-fi) Mode and also
greatly extend the playablilty of the game is to enter the Arcade mode.
Beat all 8 tracks with each class of car (A, B, anc C) on each difficulty
level. This will give you the four bonus dealerships, the ending credits
movie and access to the Hi-fi Mode. In doing this, you will have raced
9 times on each track, with different difficulties and against a more
aggressive montage' of opponents. Enjoy.

Here are some of my top tips for starting up with this great game
(this game is the reason I brought my Playstation)
Starting Up.
When you first get the game
I would suggest playing in the Arcade Version for a while, this is the
best way to get to grips with the
driving and handling of the different types of car,
the different drive train types such as 4WD,
FF, FR and MR, and how to handle
them around the different tracks,
it also lets you learn the layout
and how to get the best times around a lot of the tracks
which is a massive help in the early stages of the Simulation mode.
Buying Your First Car.
After playing in the Arcade Mode for a while, enter the Simulation
Mode, this is the main part of Gran Turismo. Your first task is to
buy a car to compete with, you are give a tiny ammount of credits
(10,000) and you have to choose your first car, spend some time
going through all of the manufacturer's used car lists, try a few that
seem to be okay, then buy a car and test it out, if you hate it
then restart the game and pick another car. try to pick something that
you can live with and that has plenty of scope for
improvement, 'cos that's going to be your car for the next couple of
races. Picking the car for you is up to you, I know which one I
think is the best of the sub 10,000 credit used cars but that is
something that is dependant of your driving style.
Once you have your car you can try it out, the best way to do this is
by entering the Spot races, they require no licence and can be
entered by anyone, the problem with these is the prize money is low,
1000 credits for winning, but they are a good place to race
when you first start up and you can use them to learn certain tracks.
Race Licences.
The next thing to do is to get the B Licence, this may take a few go's
but is reasonable staight forward, the tests cover the basics of
braking and cornering, if you do really well in this and get all gold
you get a cool car :)
More Races,
With your brand new shiny B Licence you can enter some of the bigger
prize money races, the easiest of these is the Sunday Cup,
this is a reasonable easy three track race, (the tracks are Autumn
Mini Ring, High Speed Track and Grand Valley East, see the
Tracks and Races page for more info on these) enter the Sunday Cup,
try it a few times and with some good driving and a few of the
basic car modifications you should be able to win a couple of the
tracks and eventually the series, this gives you some real cash,
3,000 credits for each race win, 1,500 credits for each pole position
and a pretty useful 15,000 credits for the series win, you also
get a freebie car given to you too
( the Demio A-Spec, which is very un-impressive and golf buggy like :)
Luckily you can go back to your garage, get into this little silver
piece of junk and go and sell it, also if you sell it back to the cars
original manufacture then you'll get 12,000 credits instead of the
10,000 credits you would get at other dealers.
With this sudden increase in ready cash you can start going about
really souping up your car and turning it into a race winning
machine. Advance your car with small improvments, regularly save your
game, and use the Machine Tests and maybe one of the
Spot Races to test out the new and hopefully improved car that you've
just created, also if you mess up the way your car drives by
installing something you can always go back to the last save where
hopefully the car was acting and handling fine.
I tend to add semi-racing tires to my car first, this is relativly
cheap and improves all aspects of the car, Speed, Acceleration,
Handling, Cornering... whatever, they all seem improved.
then I add a racing flywheel and the lightweight carbon prop shaft,
these both improve the response to revving the engine and the
drop off when the accelerator is released (and yes at some point you
really should release that button :)
then I do a stage one weight reduction, this improves acceleration,
top speed, cornering etc,
add ROM Tuning to the cars engine, this increases the cars Horse Power
and is quite cheap,
then I add a Muffler and Air Filter, go for the cheapest first, both
of these increase the HP of the car, the type will depend on the car
and the engine type,
next I'll add the first Intercooler and the first Turbine Turbo set,
or the first NA Tuning modification to the engine, all of these options
increase to cars HP by quite a bit for a reasonably low ammount of
credits,
Then I'll ususally reduce the weight of the car further to stage two,
this further increases top speed and improves acceleration,
next I'll perchase full racing tires, Soft-Soft work well for all the
short races, these further improve the cars top speed, acceleration
and handling and greatly improve straight line speed, definatly get
these if you are going to be on a track with a few long open
stretches,
then I'll add the remaining engine modifications, Port Grinding /
Smoothing, Engine Balancing, Increased Displacement / Exhaust
Output. these all incease the cars max HP,
Then I'll do the second Turbo or NA Tuning improvement and the the
final weight reduction to improve the cars power to weight
ratio.
then I'll add a Sports Brake Kit and Brake Balance Controllers, these
help to improve the cars slowing and stopping, which is
needed in the more twisty tracks, and means you can leave braking till
later, cutting down on lap times,
Then I get the best Suspension I can afford and stabilizers, these are
effected by personal driving style so choose your own
favorite type. All of these modifications help to control the car and
can reduce over/under steer
Next I'll buy the last stage NA tuning or the third Turbo improvement,
to further increase the cars Horsepower.
You can then also perchase racing gears and a clutch, and experiment
with the settup of the gears this can then be set to give
better top speed, better acceleration, anything your heart desires.
then buy the last turbo improvement (if you car is turbo inclined), to
increase the Horsepower again, not all cars can handle this
turbine level, and neither can all drivers, I have a Skyline with the
maximum turbo settup installed and I have real difficulty keeping
it one the road and not doughnutting all over the place, of course the
fact that it has 920+ odd HP means that you can easily make
up time in the straights that you've just lost spinning in circles at
the corners :)
the next stage is getting all the most advanced version of the earlier
modifications such as the best Muffler and Air Filter etc, this
means that the car can be truly customised to match the track it's on.
the last modification, (and performing this modification is one that
is up to the individual), is the total Racing Modification, this
totally changes the look of your car and slaps stickers and adverts
all over it, gives it a hopefully groovy new paint job and usually
wacks a massive great big spoiler on the back, it also gives you a
load more options to fiddle with, such as downforce and
increased tire tread etc, there are a lot of advantages to performing
this modification but your car will never again look like a road
car, the choice is yours,
Whatever you choose, full race modification, or a mild mannered
looking car with a monster under the hood, your car should be
nicely or nearly Maxed Out, and should be more than capable of blowing
most of the other stock cars out of the water, or off the
road, keep this first car, 'cos you've probably just put over 200
grands worth of stuff into it and if you tried to sell it it would still
only be valued at just under the 10,000 credits that you originally
paid for it, (thats my only real problem with Gran Turismo, and it's
a minor one) anyway you should be able to win the Sunday Cup pretty
much blindfolded now, so you can pick up more ready cash
as and when you need it now,
Here is my Number One Tip, this has helped me a lot during the early
races,
Look carefully at the road...............
This may seem like an obvious point but, you can see the racing line
on the road on each of the tracks, it's shown as a darker line
on the road I am guessing that this shows the rubber that the cars lay
down when they go around the track, this is also great as you
can see, going into corners, where most cars brake, this will help you
a lot when you are trying to learn a course.
And here is my Number Two Tip, on the darker tracks such as the
Clubman, the Special Stage Route 5 and the Special Stage Route
11, there are road signs above the track letting you know the
direction and severity of the turn coming up, these are great if you're
the leader of the pack and have forgotton the track and things start
coming up fast, especially with the annoying disorentating red
crash barriers, that really hide the direction of the turn.
hope this helps someone,
enjoy this great game, I love it,
Not a cheat a tip

Get the racing modificatoin on any rear or four wheel drive car.
Go to settings and make the downforce max. It will take a little getting used
to, but when you figure it out you will be able to whip around turns you usually
had to slow down around (i.e. S-turns, 90 degree turns, 180 turns.}
But long easy turns will be harder(First turn in high speed ring) You will have to turn
lightly or your car will cut it so sharp you will give a major lawn job.

This is not a cheat but a tip!
If you want to get easy money try getting the "A" licence which took me a while
and win the top speed races over commercial car races in special events.
If you win 1st in every race you will get 15,000 every time you get first and as a championship
bonus you get 30,000 and a car sell the car a do it over to get alot of money.

the concept car the you win in the US Vs. British race is the best car
in gran tourismo. You have to change the settings a bit.
change damper front= 2 rear= 2 lower the ride hieght by 5mm.
change stabilizer front= 5 Rear= 5. The aerodynamics,front=max Rear=max.
decrease the FINAL GEAR ratio till the 2nd gear on the left side of the
screen say 62m/h or 99km/h.
Memory Card Battle Trick
What this bacically does is allows you to do a memory
card battle with one memory card. Go to memory card
battle in the race screen in simulation mode with a
memory card with GT data saved on it in slot 1 of your
playstation. When it asks if you want to use a different
card in the 2nd players window, put your memory card
into slot 2 and press okay.
Now both opponents have the same cars. Happy racing!

How to get easy money and fix up your car.
Geting easy money.
Buy a 70' Supra 3.0 turbo ( its a used Toyota ),
go race in the GT Sunday Cup.
When you race in the sunday cup you need
to get first in qualifing, first in the race
and first in winning the championship.
If you get first in all these this is how much
money you get :
$1,500 for qualifing to race in first position.
(their are 3 races in the Sunday Cup )
$3,000 for coming in first place. ( for all 3 races )

If you get first place in all these you should
have a total of $28,500. When you win
the championship your gonna get a Mazda
Demio A spec. Sell this car to Mazda
and you should $12,000 for it. So now
you should have a total of $40,500. Keep
doing this until you have enough money
to buy all the best parts for you car.

If you have two different gran turismo
disks ( cd's ) you can watch a different intro.
First put the first disk in and wait for
the intro to start. At anytime durring the
intro take the disk out and pop the
other disk in the playstation and press reset.

FAST and STABLE CAR - QUICK SETUP:
The '95 Toyota Supra GT, I have found if you go to your parts
setting screen all you really have to change is your Down Force,
Put it all the way to min. on front and back.
Go to the High Speed Ring to test it before and after. You will
see a difference. If you want it even faster then you have to
mess around with the gears and other fine tuning parts.

HELP TO SETUP CARS THAT OVERSTEER TOO MUCH:
If you have the VIPER\VIPER"S, and thinking of selling because it
OVERSTEERS toooooooo much , Here Ya Go !!!
Buy HARD\SOFT tires
Hard, because it doesn't have max grip, Soft , bcause it does
have maxgrip ... preventing it to OVERSTEER in the rear ..... Duh !!!
Buy SOFT Front Stabilizers & SOFT Rear Stabilizers
Preventing most bouncing & wobbling .
REMINDER : If you haven't yet mastered the braking, then
Oversteer is still possible (holding the brakes for too long) .
THESE MODIFICATIONS WORK ON ALL CARS THAT
OVERSTEER TOO MUCH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HOW TO REACH SPEEDS OF 450 KPH:
-Buy a Supra (the most expensive one) and modify it completely.
-Go to the oval in the time trial, and go to the carsetup and play
with the cars gear ratio's, chamber, downforce, and the rest of
thesetup.
-Test and modify untill your top speed is around 420 km/h.
-Then go to the high speed tournament en drive the first race.
-For the oval in the second race: DON'T qualify, but go directly to
the race.
-If your car is setup right, then you could slipstream your self past
the other cars all the way to 450 KM/H!!!
Trust me, it is the highest topspeed, and it only works with the
Toyota Supra.

EXTREME SPEEDS:
Buy a nissan syline Gtr Vspec and buy
absolutely everything,then go to max
speed test and set the car as follows:
*ride height min
*camber 0 f,r
damper,brakes&weight dist. not needed
*turbo boost max
down force min f,r
GEARS(the important bit)
1St: (------|----)(the vert line
represents the placement of ratio)
2Nd: (---|-------)
3Rd: (--|--------)
4Th: (---|-------)
5Th: (-------|---)
FINAL:(--|--------)
Now start the test, you will notice the
car wont move, what you do is hold down
brake and reverse and it should go down
the road in reverse,NOW the tricky part
position the car on the corners slope so
that the cars nose IS FACING DIRECTY
DOWN,now HOLD the handbrake ON,this
small slope will be what gives you your
take off momentum.
Revv it to max with the brakes on then
drop it and go towards the grass,NOW
TWO OPTIONS
1.steer it onto the track and the car
will slowly but surely get going
2.go onto the grass and spin it and hope
to be lucky enough to control it and
take off
NOW with this done DO NOT STACK
once going the car will reach speeds of
which none of your friends will be able
to touch 1ST PLACE is yours.
Speeds i have got:
1St:492 km/h
2Nd:487 km/h
3Rd:462 km/h
Kepp in mind this is not easily done
it took me quite some time to work out
this little way around low end take off gearing,
but it is well worth it
Re:my gear ratios ar not excact as the
keyboard can not illustrate very well
but play with them little by little
and you may even beat my speeds.
Good Luck Daniel.....

MORE WINNING ADVICE:
I think the best way to win money on Gran Turisimo is to get a used RX-7 or
another car for under 10,000 credits you feel that you can win money the
quickest because you only need about 44,000 credits and you can buy and new
RX-7 which you can win the unmodified class with a A licence but it is not
easy you have to be pretty good then you can buy a viper after winning two
races which anyone can win in then you should buy a Mitsubishi 3000 twin
turbo.
A easy way to make the super cars with about 600 hp go faster and you don't
have to tune them again and gain 20 miles and hour is to put the final gear
ratio all the way to the left or minimum and then put all the other gears
almost to the right and then fine tunning to what you like but you do not
have to.If you have problems passing license tests just have your friend
load his game than has all licenses switch in your memory card and load his
if he has all licenses he probably has better cars than you if you don't
have all licenses.

TUNING YOUR TVR TO PERFECTION:
I'm disappointed to see that even after all this time the TVR Ceberra
doesn't get a mention as one of the fastest cars. "And rightly so" I hear
you say, well I'll agree with you until you win the limited edition
version
by winning USA Vs UK tournament. It has an extra gear than the model you
can by, corners like it's on rails, so responsive....and just loves to sit
around the 8k mark on the rev counter (with minor gear adjustment) just
point it and go. Still finding it hard to believe ? I too was a sceptic
until I rounded "trial Mountain in 1:08:45 !!! A friend of mine reckons he
makes it round in 1:07!!!
Surprised or am I already preaching to the converted ?
My secrets unveiled...
Actually I didn't change too much but you'll be able to see now for
yourselves
Suspension: Front Rear
Spring rate 4.8 3.9
Ride height 103 mm 103 mm
Damper 5 5
Camber 2 1
(degrees)
Stabiliser 4 4
Brake 7 7
Engine:

2nd 2.127
3rd 1.581
4th 1.237
5th 0.988
6th 0.873
final 4.571
