MASTER MODE:

This is for use in the Master League mode.  When buying new players
don't choose European or South American stars like Ronaldo or Zidane. Your
best bet for great players that cost half the points of Ronaldo are in the
African teams. For example, Hadji from Morroco - 26 points & one of the
best attacking midfielders in the game.  Babangida from Nigeria - 24
points & just as good as Michael Owen but half the price. Mboma from
Cameroon - 24 points and the best striker in the game. Masinga from South
Africa - 22 points and another great African striker.  The names of these
players are their proper names and not how they appear on the game.

MASTER STROKE:

If you start playing the Master League you will see that your team has a
lack of speed. Therefore buy Cameroon substitute striker Semau. This is
his name as it appears in the game. With a 9 for speed he is just as fast
as Ronaldo or Owen, but he only costs 18 points and because you start with
20 points you can buy him already before playing a match at all.

PLAYER TIP

you must buy in your master team 2 fast players as side half
or as forward left or right. it is depending on your formation
then you must buy Swedens forward K. Anderson almost every normal
height ball is a goal because K. Anderson is on of the best players
in the air. He is 1.93 and his heading points are 8 and 8. And his
strenght makes him also very dangerous that is 9. Try it in a view games
you see it works.

EASY MASTERED

to win the master league easily all you have to do is win your first game
then go to the nigerian squad and buy amokochi and put him in your squad
up front. then in your next game play 5 at the back 3 in midfield and 2 up
front. then when you get more points buy babandiga from nigeria and put
him up front. by now your speedy strikers should be scoreing plenty of
goals from through balls. then when more points come in buy jorni from
croatia for a central defender so you can have him chasing the fast
strikers. than keep winning and buy all other fast players like semau
(cameroon) mbama (camaroon) wiltordu (france) okuno (japan). also a good
buy is the cameroon keeper sang'O his defence is 9 and jump power is 9.
and if you have won the world league and world cup you can buy canigia
(world all stars) and some others with 9 technique and 9 dribbleing like
sanches or ganisha. this will ensure you a league win.

you MUST buy Cannigia. He is the fastest thing on 2 legs and, has one heck

MASTER THE MASTER

When you are buying players look no further than the Africans such as
Babingida (Amsterdam and Nigeria)They come at a great price and are
easuily as good as Ronnaldo and Owenn. The best keeper is Songoo
(Cameroon) defender Oddvan (Brazil) who is also very affordable Midfielder
semau (Camerroon) who is on the subs bench and the best strikers are
Babingida for shots and Beerhof for the old headers and also play Carlson
who is found on the bench play him as an Attacking half instead of Pavia
as he will burst through the middle and score the odd header where as
PAvia is too small to do this.Good Luck Now!

OVERALL HELP IN MASTER LEAGUE:

When you start the game in master league play a game until you win or draw
then buy Babangida from Amsterdam. He will help you with speed in your
attack, and has a great shot. (although he has a 9 for speed he seems
quicker than owen). If you manage to master the game a little better I
would buy Batistuta up front. Even though he is a little bit slow his shot
is wicked (9 power, 9 accuracy) and is very good in the air in corners
etc. When playing a match, instead of using through passes all the time
try doing "one two" passes (L1 - X )between your midfield and strickers
and you'll soon see your midfielders goalscoring go up. Get Roberto Carlos
as soon as possible and play him Central defence or left back and select
him as your long range free kick taker. With him there you will find the
defence a lot more solid and now and again he will pop up on the edge of
the box and with his shot its got to be a goal or a dead goalkeeper. You
will find that if you buy the players that are cheap and fast it will get
you winning games, but if you play against your freinds team full of well
known stars that are good in different areas such as strength and
technique you will begin to feel the pressure. An example would be that
babangida is fast and has a good shot but ronaldo is the same but harder
to tackle, stronger runner etc. I would reccommend Beckham on free kicks
from close range.  When between 18 - 24 yrds pull back on the pad with
1/3rd power aiming at the opposite side to the keeper and its a goal every
time.
My team, it may help you. 3-4-3  Chalivert, Stamm, Carlos, Hiero, Davids,
Beckham, Rivaldo, Zidane, Ronaldo, Owen, Batistuta.

MASTER VICTORY:

The best cheap strikers are Mboma of Cameroon and Babangida of Ajax.
However, this is the best all-round team for any budget: play 4-4-2A:
GK-Chilavert, Rightback-Thuram, Leftback-R.Carlos, centrebacks-Stam,
Desailly(Nesta, Cannavaro and Mihajlovic are good too), Defensive
Midfielder-Davids or Seedorf(both Stamina 9)Wingers- Beckham, Figo and
Giggs on the left(shooting pwr.,acc. and swerve all 8).The best strikers
are Ronaldo, Shevchenko(better than Owen, Mboma and Babangida. For the
attacking midfield position use Zidane for passing or Boban, Rivaldo is
probably better all round though.

Don't by Semau of Cameroon, he can't dribble or shoot. Kluivert is
crap too. Shearer is useless, Scholes is crap too.

challenge....Instead of buying the best players try winning the Master
League by buying the players back who play for the club. My Arsenal squad
is Seaman, Dixon, Adams, Keown, Vierra, Parlour, Ljungberg, Berkamp,
Wiltord, Henry, Kanu, Pires, Luzhny, Grimondi, Lauren (Etame-Mayer (12) in
game), Wreh, Vivas, Maninger. Its also quite cheap to build only Bergkamp
is worth over 30 points

SLICK MOVES 2:

Tom Austin was good with his moves but he missed L1 L1 which,
although  fairly useless gives you an extra way to embarass a friend. On
performing said trick your player should peform a double stepover, which
can confuse potential tacklers. Enjoy!

A DIFFERENT APPROACH TO FREEKICKS:

When a freekick in 19-25 m is given to you, shooting is always
 more difficult.So you can pass to nearest player and then it's
 easy to score.Because no one can defend him.

FREE KICKS:

When taking a free kick try holdind down and this will make the ball dip
and if you hold up it will give more power towards the ball. The dip works

DUMMY NUMBER 2:

some guy here says that if you hold square to shoot and right after
press x your player will dummy, yeah, its right but theres an easier
and funnier dummy. Pass to a player a ball right to his feet using x
and hold in R1 and your player will let it go straight through his
legs. this is perfect with ronaldo as his speed can catch up with the
ball easy and thee move lets him slip past any defender quite nicely.

FORMATION AND STRATAGEY:

Play with Nigeria in a 3-4-3 formation. Put Amokatchi and Babindiga on the
left and right respectivley and play Khano in the middle. If you put the
fast boys a bit wide and use a forward mentality with side attack
strategey and give them the ball, hair down the wing, cross it and the
very  tall Khano will happily nod it in. Hours of fun attacking wing
play.P.S  what is and how do you play the bonus cup?P.P.S any body know of

The best low budget striker is easily Babandiga of Amsterdam and Nigeria
as he is only 24points and one draw on the master league will get u him.
He is very fast(9) and a great attacker(8or9). The best high budget
striker is Shevchenko at 40 points which in my veiw is a bargain. He plays

Babangida (Nigeria/Amsterdam) is one of the best strikers in the game.
Shevchenko is not less. Try buying Roberto Carlos and playing him as
forward and you'll see the results. The last player you should change in
Master League is the goalkeeper Merosi as he will be getting better as
time goes by.Colombo is also a very good keeper. Ragnotti is one of your
best defenders so don't change him at the begining.

Most of you have only looked at the mighty teams, but the great thing
about ISS pro Evolution is that there are great players for lower class
teams aswell. Here are a few of my favourite Players: * 'Illie' for
Romania is ridiculously over-rated on this game. He has a great shot, he's
fast, strong, good in the air and rarely misses chances (i beleive he is
the best striker on the game). * 'Stelea' the Romanian keeper is quality.
He is hard to beat at close range and has kept me in the game lots of
times. * 'Azizi' is a great striker for Iran. On the game he is the one
with the yellow boots. He has good speed and a great finish. * 'Blanco' &
'Hernandes' are both clinical strikers on this game. They can rip any
defence apart single handedly! *If you bring on Savo Milosevic from the
bench mid way in the game,for yugoslavia, he almost always scores!! Here
are some of my favourite teams: Mexico, Japan, Yugoslavia, Romania. I find
some teams are better against others when playing your friends. Here are
my tips: Romania are brilliant against most middle class teams such as
'South Affrica', 'Sweden' etc. Against Brazil, beleive it or not,
Switzerland & Northern Ireland pull out some great performances!! These
tips are fully tested. I have played this game far too much!! E-mail me if

MUST BUY'S:

I know there are a whole host of "best teams" on the board, but,
having played the Master League incessantly for 11 months, I can
firmly recommend a few players as MUST BUY's:

1/ Roberto Carlos - the game's MVP - brilliant on the wing, or as
defensive midfield. 2/ Shevchenko - outstanding striker, with speed
and finishing (scored 5 in his first game for me, before being sent
off), comparable only to... 3/ Ronaldo - speaks for himself -
especially dangerous angling into the edge of the box 4/ Babangida -
Budget buy to help get you there, but also excellent on the right wing
5/ Jani - doubles up as cover for Roberto, but also as defensive
midfield with Carlos on left wing 6/ Chalivert - tall, quick, agile,
strong clearance and defensively aware. No-one's as solid-it's that
simple. 7/ Thuram - A must have defender - quick, tall and aware.
Excellent in the middle of a back 3 8/ Vieri - Tall and powerful (if a
little slow). Whack him up front with Ronaldo, and Shevchenko behind -
you'll be unstoppable 9/ Cannavaro - cheap but quick - perfect right
side of a back 3 10/ West - quick and able. Novelty hair too, but
distribution on the floor a bit dodgy 11/ Rijkard (you must have the
Classic Europeans for this one) - his awareness makes up for lack of
pace, meaning he's often there before the attacker - the perfect
defensive midfielder

As you can see, 3-5-2 is my recommended plan of attack. 4 at the back
and your centre halves get bisected too easily. Plus, with 2 defensive
midfielders, and 2 wingers, you've got good cover on the wings. With
the strikers listed, you'll be good in the air, and fantastic on the
break. Other recommended buys include Mboma and Kalla, as well as
Isaar - a quick cheap triker, and two excellent tall defenders who
cost little. Use this team as a template (and they can diversify to
other formations) and you'll be laughing. Definately Babangida first
though - and Guilavert last (the keepers you inherit are fine to start
with). If not Babangida, go for anyone with speed - it's essential,
and they'll be top scorer in their first season - I guarantee it.

TIP TO SCORE

When one on one with the keeper simply wait until he advances forward
and chip him with a double click of the circle button to lob the keeper or
use the dummy shot ( square followed by x) to make the keeper dive then
simply shot into the empty net.

FREE KICKS:

To kick precise and powerful free kicks, buy a player with good shot,
accuracy and power (Rui Costa is the best in short range).

Then, to kick very near to the goalpost, put the post opposite to the
player kicking foot (if the player is right the post is the left one) in
the center of the screen and charge the bar to 3/4.

The ball should pass upon the wall (if there's one) and score, or maybe
hit the post, but it should always be a good shot.

If you want to shot the same post as player's kicking foot you should do

DIFFERENT CROSSING:

When a player is down either wing with an opportunity to cross try varying
the cross height as follows : Double Click - middle height cross (good for
front post volleys) Treble click - low cross along ground (can be
intercepted by defenders but this may result in an own goal)

FREE KICKS:

Depending on the free kick distance from goal a technique is required.
When quite close(< 20m) pull back when shooting to enable the ball to get
up and over the wall. When rather out press forward whilst shooting and
this will increase the power of the shot.

ZIG ZAG:

When playing the computer, try not to run in a straight line when
advancing up the field. As you run try to Zig Zag and the computer will
find it increasingly hard to take the ball off you.
