You know, it took a legend like Michael Jackson dying to bring me out of retirement. Okay, so it wasn't so much retirement as a hiatus, but nonetheless here I am, ready to bi*ch...

I've got to start out with msnbc's coverage of the Michael Jackson Memorial today. I will give them props for no commercials (compared to every other network) but here is my beef.

Everything for the most part was done with taste and respect until.... Jinah Kim comes on after the memorial. She was reporting on the repass. First, she professes her ignorance by stating, "I've never heard it called this before" then she proceeds to call the gathering an "after-party". Uh... exsqueeze me but the family just had a memorial service. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention she blew that too by calling it a "concert". How grotesquely insensitive is that?

msnbc knew about this event for at least (benefit of the doubt) 24 hours and the best "LIVE coverage reporter" they can come up with is some broad who refers to the Beverly Hills Wilshire as the "Pretty Woman Hotel". Oy Vey!

To their credit, they had her come on again and explain what a repass was (I'm sure once some producer reamed her) but she once again slipped in the "Pretty Woman hotel" reference... in case you missed it the first time?! These are professionals?!

Okay... Calm down. Try some decaf, I'm sure you are saying.

But then they get that retarded, media whore Donny Deutsch on there. He starts telling the viewers that they are out of touch and that Michael Jackson is just a singer and dancer. That there are more important people in the world to be memorializing... like some lady who registered some people to vote... or some war pilot.

Uhhhh, lemme think... A guy who brought great joy and entertainment to the world or some guy who went on bombing runs and killed people (albeit in the service to his country). I'm sorry, but I've got to deify the former, Donny. But hey, filling out voter reg cards is a close second!!

I know that there have been some questionable times in Michael Jackson's life. He was aquitted of any charges and although it may tarnish his legacy for some, others will remember him as the greatest entertainer that ever lived... The King of Pop.

Rest in Peace Michael Jackson. Thanks for the memories.
