had a pretty chilled weekend, despite doing a whole load of travelling on public transport…. You don’t hear me say that very often.
The weekend started with me going to the local Waterstone’s to attend the book signing by Barry Nugent of his second book Fallen Heroes, and what a book it is people. Make sure you put that book on your Christmas Stocking list, I even got to talk to the great man himself.
The rest of the weekend was down in the Big Smoke, I was going to a wedding blessing in West London, not too far from Mr G's place, so went down and hooked with Mr G and dragged him to the wedding blessing with me.
Apart a sarkey exchange with the brides dad, the whole evening went without a hitch, even with the obligatory older woman you always get at wedding who hasn’t been out since the last wedding she went too, and is using this event to let her hair down and dance and prance around in stocking feet, dragging as many young men as she can get her hands on to the dance floor. All in all it was an entertaining couple of hours, as Mr G and I didn’t stay too long.
For some reason I was exceptionally tired when we got back to Mr G’s, we stayed up a couple of hours but I was drifting by Midnight, so I had to hit the sack, but I was up and wide awake at about 5.35am…
Mr G was up around 8.30, we sat around chatting and eating toast which was cool. I headed to Victoria Coach Station from Mr G’s place around 10ish and was in Victoria by1120am, the coach was due to depart around Midday.
I hadn’t been to Victoria Coach Station is decades and it was as busy as I remembered. When I got to my coach bay all the seats in the waiting area had been taken, so in the back of mind I was thinking, that it would be chokka bloc trip home, but when the coach number was called, I was like the second person in the queue to get on and in the end there was only about 10 of us on the coach, I’m def gonna do that coach run again.
Sunday at home was pretty chilled with Tiff and Vic, though I did do some ironing of the shirts for the week ahead… and with the thoughts of domestic organisation crossing my mind, I shall say Peace, Unity, Love and Having Fun to yawl
