So this whole month has been relatively busy. Not necessarily busy as in I can't get stuff done, but I have definitely been having lots of occurances in which I am on the run. I don't know what it is, but it certainly adds to the already stressful persona I carry around.

Have I bitten off more than I can chew? I don't think so. It's certainly nothing compared to the last semester of school where I had no opportunity to rest because I had X Y and Z due the next day. It's just a different sort of stress I suppose.

My playwriting class has eaten up a lot of my freetime. Not because I'm sitting in class, but because I have been spending a lot of time on the computer or writing in a notebook writing down what I have planned for my next play. I'm just about done though. I've only got two more plays I have to write and then I am free to go and see my A. :D It'll be nice to have that GPA boost for sure. I almost hate to say it but I'm struggling with writing my next play because it has to take place in a mystical land. The professor said we have to have a two character cast with a linear plot. That part's not hard. That's the basic way to write a short story. Then he added on instructions for certain people. For example, one girl who has written fairly morbid plays up to this point was told she must keep all her characters alive until the end. One other guy who heretofore has written plays with funny up-to-date characters was told he must have characters who are neither hip nor glib. As for me, well, he told me I have to write a play that takes place in a mystical land. This shouldn't be so hard for me. In fact, if I had enough space for writing a full length, I would write out a dramatic version of the short story I posted on here. But it's hard for me to consider writing something so..odd. Writing a story is one thing, but writing drama is another. I've come up with a few ideas so far, but as of right now all of my ideas make me sound kind of crazy so we'll see how it happens. If I come up with anything good I'll post it on here, but as of right now I just want to relax.

Second to my playwriting class in time has been my Karate class which I am taking at a community center. My sensei said in the Fall that we would not be able to test for rank and suggested that if we desired extra training that we should contact one of his old students. So I did just that and enrolled in his old students class and have been doing that every Wednesday evening. It's been a nice way to relieve stress, but it's certainly had stress all its own. The belt testing (or rank testing) is next weekend in Santa Ana so I have to get ready for that. It's only been two weeks that I've been training since the end of the Fall so my body is not ready for it, but I figure I might as well go ahead and test. Which means, yep you guessed it. I've gotta practice a lot before next Saturday. All in all though it's been pretty good. It's been a nice atmosphere and I have actually been put in positions where I can start learning kumate (free sparring) so that's always fun.

Then as if that doesn't sound stressful enough. I've started a Dog Agility training course in another community center with my beagle Maddie. I wasn't able to try it out sadly because it only started just last week. Maddie and I will be doing it though. She can jump pretty high so I figure once she gets to jump she'll be fine. Since I've been told I have to have her there with me though, the teacher suggested I get a special leash as well as a Gentle Leader. I have gotten both and done both with Maddie and let me just say this. Maddie puts a new meaning to the word headstrong. She's not used to the Gentle Leader so I suppose it'll take awhile, but we'll see. It's pretty effective in keeping her from pulling so it should be fine. I'm trying to train her with that gentle leader to sit beside me anytime I stop. She already knows how to sit, but she does not sit beside me. All this can be taught with simple repetition I'm sure. While I'm on the subject of my dogs though. I took them both for a walk today and they were both relatively well behaved. Then after the walk I had them sit inside the family room with me. They played and pawed and sat and barked. It was cute. But not as cute as what happened once they had settled down. The Dog Whisperer came on and Tifa jumped up and sat on my leg and then Maddie jumped up and curled up on my lap and all three of us watched Gizmo the Beagle get his rehabilitation. It was one of those moments I wish someone was here with a camera because it was just so perfect. They were both calm, relaxed and generally just happy to be with me...which helped me relax.:D

So now that I'm relaxed I'm going to go practice me some karate and see if I can get through my testing techniques without too much of a worry.:D

Peace out everyone. I hope you all are well, healthy and gaming safely.:)
