• When I try to play PS2 games on my PS3 it says they're not compatible for Ps3 or something. I can create an internal memory card, but I can't play the games, which doesn't make much sense to me. Is there any updates I can download or anything so that I can play PS2 games?
  • If you have the 40 GB system there is nothing you can do- it does not have any PS2 playback at all.
  • there has got to be a way to play ps2 games on ps3 40gb. someone must make it possible expecially for guitar hero
  • The only way it will happen is if Sony adds it into a future firmware update. However, they are steering away from the backward compatibility a bit due to cost cutting plus the perception that more PS3 owners are not making use of the backward compatibility they do have (which is actually somewhat true- i know I haven't made use of it for some time now).
