• Please assist/advise remedy for PSP fault

Green power light on but screen blank

  • Your only recourse may be to contact Sony's tech support about repairs- either the screen itself is damaged or the connection inside to get the video showing is broken. There is nothing you will be able to do on your own.
  • My son had just loaded a new game - reading some of your replies to others you have mentioned the PSP possibly being "bricked". What does this mean, and any idea how much it costs typically in UK to fix?

    Thanks again
  • A "bricked" system is one that has lost the coding Sony uses to make the PSP do as it should- just empty circuitry and chips inside.

As for repairs/ replacement, if you are within the one year warranty and have your receipt/ proof of purchase they will not charge you. I couldn't say with any degree of certainty how much it would be if you did have to pay but I'm guessing in the range of 50-80 quid. The rep at Sony's tech support could tell you for sure.
