• Ok so i need help i finally got my highspeed internet and i want to what i need and how i set up PS3 online from a wireless connection.

  • Well, John, you are first going to need a wireless router to act as a gateway for the PS3 and anything else going online wirelessly. I recommend using an 802.11 G speed router (the N routers are still draft technology and offer no advantage to the PS3) and go with a major brand- Linksys and D-Link seem to be the top ones.

    Once you have this set up go to the bottom of the Settings menu on the PS3 to set up your network connection. I suggest getting some of the settings out of the router first to add into your PS3's settings (DNS Servers, subnet mask, router IP, etc.) to make it a bit easier for the PS3 to connect.
