we have guitar hero 5 for playstation2 can it be used with playstation 3
  • also is there a lego rock band for the playstation2? if so what is needed to play?
  • Yes there is a Lego Rock Band, it came out in November. It uses the Rock Band instruments or the controllers. I don't think the Guitar hero controllers will work with it but can't say for sure.
  • Lego Rock Band will indeed work with most instruments from other music titles (Rock band, Guitar Hero, SingStar) so you should have no problems there.

As for your question in the title, it depends on what version of PS3 you have. If you are playing on one of the original 20 GB or 60 GB systems (the ones when launched 3 years ago) you will have no problems. Playback will be less likely on the 80 GB systems thanks to the switch of how the PS2 emulation is done. If you are playing on a later model 80 GB (made after the Metal Gear Solid 4 bundle), a 40 GB, the 160 GB or either of the PS3 slim models you will not be able to play ANY PS2 games.
  • :( you mean just the regular controllers? ( sorry to be such a (nooob)
