Battlefield: 1943
  • Battlefield fans will instantly recognize the fact that, although somewhat watered-down from it's PC version (Battlefield 1942), the Frostbite graphics engine is in it's full glory!

Each player can choose one of 3 classes of soldier (Infantry, Rifleman, Scout/Sniper), and also have the ability to pilot Jeeps, tanks or even aircraft...the latter of which does take some practice to learn to fly.

For fans of realistic shooters, especially of the WWII variety, Battlefield 1943 does not disappoint in any way! You can join a squad, create a squad or just be a lone-wolf. Either way, you have got to keep your wits about you, because unlike many shooters nowadays, as in real war, many times a single bullet will put you out of the action.

There are 4 Battlefield maps, beautifully rendered and based on the actual island maps as they were in 1943...and the battles are just as brutal. Don't fool yourself if you are thinking "4 maps only?"....because I can assure you, there are very few who can actually cover the whole map during a battle...unless you are piloting a plane.

Island warfare was brutal, and life expectancy short...and Battlefield 1943 will very quickly remind you of that if you stay out in the open to extended periods of time or are not keeping on your toes.

If you enjoy MMOFPS's, Battlefield 1943 delivers a big punch with a knockout price!
