• I've been thinking if the Ps1 cds are working in Ps2 or Ps2 cds are working on Ps1 consoles??????

  • PSX games are written on CDs while the PS2 disks are of DVD format. While CDs are read on DVD players, DVDs aren't able to be read on CD players. that's why the PS2 is backwards compatible.
  • that's right. You can use a PS2 controller on a PSone as well (and vice-versa) :)
  • [b]Some of the games are on CD,but the PS2 games simply won't work on a PSOne-it simply doesn't have the power for it and the coding is different in the game itself.The PSone games work on the PS2 because they have the PSOne chipset inside the PS2 as well.
  • To add to Lyndon's statements and to clarify others, no PS2 game, even CD format will work on the PSone.

    madhtr is right. ps2 cds are written on dvd format because it is cheaper to produce them that way.
