• I have been looking for a PS2 and have come across different model#, some claiming they are the newest version, I was wondering what the difference is? :2devilish:
  • Thats what I believe it is DevilChild. Just like the PSone the model number I think is when it was manufactured.
  • I'm going to tell you the one and only change made to the PS2 when going from model SCPH-97000 to SCPH-97001. The only difference is that all of the 97001s have the newest DVD drivers, version 2.14 in the system BIOS compared to the 97000 which ranged from 1 through i think 2. You won't need the memory card to save the DVD drivers on anymore so you'll have 2MB more space. I think that me knowing things such as this is the reason why they wanted me as the Games Manager at CCSI, since i don't know any others around that would know that besides, more than likely those upstairs and Tiff of course. Well, i hope that you enjoy posting, have fun gaming, and have a very happy New Year.
  • [b]Thanks for the heads up Mad. You is my go to guy
