[color=blue][b]Your laser may be out of alignment. This could cause scratches on the disk and also disk read errors. Have you accidentally knocked over your PS2 anytime while playing GT3 or while GT3 was in the system? If so then there are grooves in the tray of the PS2 that could cause the scratches, but only if the system was jarred while the system was on. If you think it's the first problem then you'll want to contact Sony as soon as possible so you can get that fixed and be back into the gaming. If it's just GT3 that's messing uop then it could have been caused by dust buildup that was on the cd when you played it.
