Nintendo isn't going out of business nor are they over or under selling. In Japan(the number 1 game market), last week, the Gamecube sold 8,200 while the Xbox pushed 1,200 and on a related note the PSOne sold 1,400(yes, more than the Xbox). Also last week the Gameboy Advance SP sold 101,000 and the Gameboy Advance sold 20,000 with the PS2 selling 52,000. Now $20 may handle manufacturing charges(which would be about the same for all systems) but the components themselves cost more than this. Consoles are not the profiteers in the gaming market. Software is the big money maker for all companies. Surely you don't think that MS knows this, which is why they've been gung-ho to pick up the best talent out there. To sum things up, Gamecube 2(whatever it's called then) is planned to be released in 2005, a full year before Sony and Microsoft have their planned releases. Don't expect Nintendo to just throw their hats out of the bag just because some people think that their system isn't doing well. Tell their Japan offices...They'll still be back up though. Well, i hope that you all enjoy posting and have fun gaming.
