You see controllers for the PS2 are tricky as they have pressure sensitive buttons and depending on how much you jam on the buttons will determine it's life. That's the way that Sony decides when they need to make a new controller. When controller sales begin to drop off it's almost as if the proverbial buttons have been mashed to much and it's time to make another controller. You must remember that the 3rd party makers are trying to come up with new and inovative ways to take Sony's controller purchases and turn them into their own. You see they even are working on a Duel "Shock" controller that will work just the way that it's name states. It will shock you, not with very high voltge and it's supposed to give you a better feel of the game and how to play it. Now, i'm not sure when the "buttons" will be too mashed but i do know that when it does happen you will see a new Sony controller and not any sooner. Well, i hope that you enjoy posting and have fun gaming.
