A game that wasn't as highly tauted as the two aforementioned Sony Platformers, but IMO the best of them, would be Sly Cooper. It doesn't take you a huge amount of time to beat the game but it's not as simple as it would seem at first. Though you technically never die, you still have lives and there are certain places that save your position on that level unless you lose all your lives in which case you have to start the level over. You won't always control Sly and the story is actually rather interesting. Now, i'm a huge RPG fan and rarely play platform titles but this was actually very enjoyable for me so i'd definitely recommend that one. Other than that it's all gray lines on platformers since i've never played them and can only go on reviews and word of mouth. From what i've heard though Rayman 3 is an enjoyable games is above average in gameplay. Whether you want to risk it or not is upto you but i do know that there have been quite a few sales on the game(which is already priced $39.99) so if you do decide to buy the game, i'd look around for deals on it. If you have any other questions then let me know. I do know that Ratchet and Clank: Going Commando, out in November, looks like it'll have alot more of hand-to-hand combat as well as lots of weapons to use. Jak II, out October 14th, looks to have a nice mixture between hand-to-hand and weaponed battling as well. Well, i hope that you enjoy posting and have fun gaming.
