You play as James Earl Cash, convicted killer, who's on Death Row and about to be administered a Lethal Injection. Fate, as it turns out in this game is a cruel thing to have to deal with. It would seem The Director(as he's known right now) is a very sick person and it turns out the lethal injection was just a charade but if you think you're "free" then you've got something coming to you. The Director has taken a deserted city and placed surveillence cameras and large numbers of psychos bent on your destruction. How do you know they want to kill you? Sneak up on them and eavesdrop on one of their conversations as they talk in detail about what they're going to do to you. Manhunt is a stealth action title not too unlike Metal Gear Solid, except this title is much more brutal. You begin the game without any weapons but you eventually see over 20 different wepons including the first that you come across, a plastic bag. Carcer City is a tough city and it would seem that the only way out is to dispose of The Director but with him watching the entire city through his surveillence cameras as well as having a direct ear-piece link to you it won't be very easy to accomplish. Painkillers, in the game, will fill up your health bar when you need it. You also have a stamina bar that decreases as you run or do other strenuous activies. The soundtrack for the game has been said to resemble that of the movie "Escape from LA" and the music will change dynamically depending on what's happening in the game. Your radar can't detect "hunters" that remain silent so you need to listen and keep your eyes open at all times. An alarm will sound(just you can hear it) if you are making noises that could raise the awareness of enemies. You can also distract enemies by tapping on walls or throwing objects. Also, make sure to dispose of bodies so other "hunters" don't become aware of them because they will be alerted in that case. Since taking out your enemies is going to be a huge part of this game, it would make sense that it would be a huge part of gameplay, which it is. Whenever you take out an enemy, you will get to see the kill in it's gruesome details from the vantage points of the surveillence cameras, in essence giving you the view of The Director. Now, if this game doesn't sound strange enough, it would seem that Rockstar has said that as the game progresses, you'll encounter a giant white fluffy bunny, though whether the rabbit signifies redemption or just insanity is a tough call right now. Not much is known about the bunny at the moment. So, Manhunt is the next title from Rockstar North, Aka. DMA Designs, Aka. GTA Developer, and it looks to be shaping up nicely. How the final product will end up is anyone's guess right now but more details are sure to emrge between now and it's scheduled October 21st release date(October 24th in Europe). Well, i hope that you all enjoy posting and have fun gaming.
