Personally I am of the beleif that Sony doesnt have the right to limit the level of ownership that a gamer possesses over again. Yet again it is a similiar story to the music industry, where they are trying to bleed their target market dry and make sure they get every single cent they can out of their loyal customers. Eventually the customers will turn on the corporations and take things into their own hands.
