Default Re: sports games on PS3

Well I personally haven't heard of anything specific, but I, like others, can imagine the benefits of the new technology.

Take for existence EAs FIFA series:
As they have the rights to Officially license teams, stadiums and, more importantly, players, then we'll have more realistic looking graphics. For instance, if you're an Arsenal fan, the likes Henry will actually look like Henry. It'll probably be like actually watching him on Sky Sports, it'll probably be THAT good. Now I'm not saying that's definite, but I imagine it will be. Of course this is provided you have a HDTV running and your PS3 running at maximum graphical output which I believe is 1080i or it may be 1080p, I always get mixed up which is the best. Anyway, it's the one that the XBOBX360 cannot do!

As for the likes of other sports games, I guess it will be equally special. If you're a Smackdown fan for instance, again the wrestlers will look almost lifelike, just look at the pictures of the XBOX360 version of 2007 and then try to imagine what 2008 version on PS3 might look like running at er 1080i/p whichever is highest.
And then you've got the likes of Gran Turismo HD. Well that's already looking like a case of if you can't buy a Porsche then buy this game as it's so realistic looking that it's like having the actual cars in your very own real life garage.

So basically it'll be same for all types of games. Almost real life looking graphics, many more tunes to listen to, movies that, in the case of the Final Fantasy games, last a total of like 1 and a half to 2 hours and actually look like you're watching a proper movie, hours spent playing the games will be increased because of the content that'll be able to be placed on the new Blu-Ray disks.

All in all, PS3 is looking to be the console to get. Now I just wish they'd hurry up and release it over here in the UK.
