Pyramid Head is a collection of lost souls that combined to form this demon. While he doesn't try to kill people, if he does then he doesn't care as it's not his fault as he thinks that he's just playing with people and it's not like he feels anything. I don't want to give too much info about the storyline in the forums so i'm not going to mention exactly how Silent Hill was chosen as the area of evil to be used. If you need to know though, Silent Hill is there on many levels and at the same time all this is going on, the normal Silent Hill went on with their busy lives.
