Found a couple of codes that should help. The source didn't say so I will guess that you need to pause the game to enter these- if they don't work that way try them while in normal play.
To recharge your shield Press L1, L2, Square, Triangle, X, Triangle then hold L1+L2+R1+R2.
To refill your health bar press R2, L2, R1, Circle, Triangle, L2, X, Square.
