Hello Ese, and welcome to Absolute-playstation.
Now for your question...
First of all a couple of questions for you, does the same thing happen to all your games (the pause screen coming up all the time I mean) or just Theme Hospital?
Are you using a PS1 or PS2 controller?
If any of those two answers are YES, then it could be a faulty controller.
If both answers are no (so in other words, you're using a PS2 controller and the pause screen doesn't appear automatically, over and over, for any other game) then I'm personally stumped.
It could be a fualty disk but it's doubtful that that's the reason.
Maybe one of the other staff have an idea
