I now think I know what you are on about. You need to have "bought" the Esper er damn i forget it's name, it's the VERY FIRST Esper that you earn as part of the regular storyline.
Anyway, someone needs to have "bought it" on the License Grid so they are then able to summon it.
You then need to Summon it while you're near the door.
The person who summoned it then needs to touch the door and then a cutscene will start where the door will eventually be opened allowing you access to the next part of the journey.
I really hope you mean where I'm on about. Personally, no offence, but i'm intrigued that you've had such a hard time opening the door. The hardest part is doing the necessary requirements to get the door in the first place. Now THAT is difficult.
