Your PS2 would not be able to use a back up disc without modifying it with a special chip. We at Absolute PlayStation don't recommend doing this- we have seen many shorten/ kill the system's life with poor installs. Due to the possible piracy aspect (not saying you would but others that may read this) I will not give instructions on copying PS2 discs.
