I just got the error message today. I restored the ps3 and copied all my save files onto a USB stick. I did a virus scan and it found one virus. trojan horse PSW from online gaming. I could have only got it when playing fifa 08. I was going to play a match and all of a sudden it froze and i've had the problem ever since. this is proof that virus's can be spread through online games on the ps3 system. I'll keep trying to fix it and if no luck i'll ring sony.
