Re: ps3 wired connection problems First things first, you may have entered some wrong numbers in the connection settings. If you can enter all of the settings in manually then do this- this saves the PS3 from doing this wrong. You can find most of these in a search through your router's settings.
If the problem still persists, you'll need to do some port forwarding, i believe.
The ports you need to open are:
* TCP Ports: 80, 443, 5223, and 10070 - 10080
* UDP Ports: 3478, 3479, 3658, 10070, and 50100
