I just read on your website that Sony are reducing the price of the PS3 in Japan. Does this mean that it will be dropped in the USA too ?

Hi Martin, at the time of writing it has not been confirmed by Sony that anyone other than Japan is getting the reduction in price.

Sony have confirmed that when the console is launched in the USA, only 20% of them will be the cheaper model, so if it was going to be hard to get one before, it may be impossible if they reduce the price of them.

There will only be 100 thousand of PS3 on launch day for Japan, and Sony may have decided to make a higher percentage of them the lower priced model because of competition from the Nintendo Wii.

Again, all of this is just guesswork until Sony make an official announcement.
