Default PSP Dead?

I just got a used PSP and it was working fine. but now when i try to turn it on it only starts maybe 5% of the time, then it freezes and turns off.
Is there anyway to fix it?

Default Re: PSP Dead?

You may want to try a replacement battery- something may have happened to the original.

Did you buy this PSP at a used game store like EB or off someone privately? If at EB I would say take it back before the limited warranty expires (only 14 days on used items I think). If you bought privately then you are stuck with finding your own solution. If replacing the battery doesn't work you may have to call Sony's tech support and if you have to send it in that will cost some cash seeing as you probably won't have any remaining original warranty.
