I'm Stuck On A Board For 'god Of War 2', I Need Help!!!!

I Need Help Getting Off Of This Board!!!
I'm Stuck At A Part Of The Game Where I Jump Down Into A Room And It's A Switch In The Middle Of The Floor To Open A Gate To Proceed Foward. On Both Sides Of The Switch Is Two Rooms, One Room Has A Body In There To Be Use To Lay Ontop Of The Switch To Hold The Gate Open, But It Only Opens A Little.the Second Room Has Another Switch Inside Of It, With It's Gates Still Partially Lifted,but I Can Jump Over It. But When I Stand On It And Gate To Proceed Foward Opens, I Can't Jump Back Over The Partially Lited Gate And Run To The Other Gate In Time Before It Closes Back Again.so I'm Just Stuck Here Trying To Figure Out How To Get Pass This Part.
So help Me Please!!!!

You don't place the body on the switch. Instead put it in the right-hand waterway then head over to the left. When you see the body float by grab it and place it on the switch on the left side. You can then go back and stand on the middle switch. You should have time from here to get through before it closes.
