The clover leaf key is retrieved during a replay ofThe Unlucky Clover Field. To get this you must get the Good Ending. Do this by "using" Gregory's gun on the second fight with the final boss, not shooting it.

Head to the number 9 room through the corridor and let Brown find the marsa Hat to get the rag.
