ok, here's my advice. First of all. jump...a lot!. Try and position yourself so that you can jump on top of him, and waylay into that fat belly of his. Also, remember that devil trigger. You can blast some sizeable holes in him with that as well. Good luck. *Try and get a feel for his movements. I can't remember exactly, but he gives away his attacks a little...

Ok the trick is to keep jumping like Goku said. He has two attacks that you should dodge. He has fireballs and lava that spews out 6 times in twos. The fireballs are easy to dodge, just stay behind the pillars. The lava flows out in twos so keep jumping. Air Raid works wonders here. Keep jump slicing at the back of him to hurt him in the back. *After you defeat him, there will be a bunch of spiders roaming the ground. Dont shoot them but step on them, youll get a blue orb fragment. *Note:::: Before you fight the spider, jump back into the water and kill the skulls, you get a blue orb fragment. Well the spider takes a lil work, and you have to fight him a total of 3 times just like every other boss in the game. *the first time like the other 2 said you need to jump a lot, a tactic i used was jump and kinda move to the side while jumping and rapidly press the fire button(if your in easy automatic mode just hole the fire button). *also air raid works wonders agains him you can take away about half-3/4 of his life in this way alone. also the only i have found to be his vulnerable spot is his head which he pretects quite well with those claws in the front when he gets low or if your really daring when he gets his lif down to about a quarter i like to run in and kill him with style and throw a few good sword swipes to the head, or you can jump on his back(it can e done) and shoot him repeatedly until he throws you off. *well i hope this helps you so have fun!!!!!!!

hey hey lemme throw my 2 cents in as well. u should have acquired the shotgun by now. simple. jump alot and get in close and blast him with the shotgun till ur trigger gauge is full then go into devil trigger mode beat the crap *outta him. repeat steps 1 and 2 as neccesary :grin1:

Well, Phantom isn't as tough as he look he's a bit slow and he's easy do defeat... first try to see how he attacks and moves then it's time to get some action *:2devilish: he's weak points are: his mouth (also the most dangerous one) and his back to get a bit easier activate the Alastor Devil Trigger cuz you'll be faster and it's a lot effective. If you have Air Raid * *(throwing lightning Bolts) is also effective so make it while you have the devil trigger, if youe devil trigger goes zero try to attack his back it will do big damage if he shakes you out of his back attack his mouth it will do major damage if you have Holy waters, untouchables, some Devil Stars and green stars (I can't remember the name) it will be a lot easier. To beat him easy, equip Alastor and the shotgun (which you'll probably have on anyways) and then shoot him with your shotgun till your Devil Trigger is full and then Air Raid him. If he starts firing his giant meteors, just get behind the pillars. Roll and jump a lot to dodge his attacks. Try to get on his back and then just slice and dice!

[SIZE=1]To defeat the sinister fiery arachnid you should equip Ebony&Ivory (hand guns) because when you jump in the air you get a fair amount of shots in on hes back which is rather effective. Keep on doing this untill your devil metre goes up and jump on hes back and plaster him with slashes from Alastor (electric sword). Keep up this technique untill the spider eventually dies. [/SIZE]

Ok theres really enough tips here for you to kill the spider. Like alot of people here i attacked his head and his back in Devil mode. I prefered getting stuck in Devil mode directly at his head !!
