| Okay, I have played through the game twice now, and the second time I went through, when I got to the rampage that requires purple hoods, and the uzi money mission, then there were NO purple hoods anywhere, what's the deal?! |

| The disappearing purple nines is one of the worst glitches of the game – it only occurs when you are playing it for a second (or subsequent) time around. There are various explanations for why it occurs, but the smart money relates it to your previous saved (GTA3) games. If you have a save on your memory card which includes previous info about the purple nines, then the purple nines are missing when you play for the second time. Bad news I’m afraid, there’s not really any other way around this (people have tried constantly reloading and messing with the memory cards etc, but even when some 9’s appear, they don’t register as kills when you whack them in uzi rider). If you want to play through the game again and go for 100%, then you’re going to have to remove previous GTA3 saves off your card and start a new game from scratch. If you’re just having fun and aren’t that bothered about reaching 100% then just carry on with the game – you wont be able to do any of D-Ice’s side missions, but you’ll still be able to ‘finish’ the game (but obviously will never be able to achieve 100% completion). ![]() |
