You guys probably already know this, you can get unlimited ammo for any weapon you find outside your garage by picking it up then going to save game and then cancel. When you come back out you'll notice the weapons are there again - carry on doing this until it reaches all 9's and you'll get unlimited ammo for that weapon!! This trick is can be used for the stars as well (outside the garage). I earned 2 stars (from Vigilante missions) and then decided to cause mayhem not too far from the save point. Managed to get 5 wanted stars and ran back to garage picked up the stars (leaving 3 wanted stars) and then went to save point and cancelled went outside to find another 2 stars waiting for me! By the way you can get 6 cars in the garage at Staunton Island.

The garages are very temperamental things (that’s where a lot of people lose their BP patriot). I always kept an FBI car and a Borgnine Taxi in my Staunton lock-up (‘F’ knows why). I’d kept them there with no problems for ages………………..and then piff paff poof……..an instant disappearing act! All the garages are possessed I tell ya (nothing to do with glitches at all). Never take any car for granted........ Jack cars upon demand - storing them is never 100% :0

Heh heh – what’s mine is mine and what’s yours is mine, now get out the damn car before you have a serious case of death! *:2devilish: Here’s a couple of things that you probably already know about, but something you may not. Getting into an ambulance puts you health up to 100. The only problem is if you’ve been visiting the ‘ladies of the night’ and are up to 125, you will lose the 25 if you get in. Getting into the police riot van (Enforcer) will put your armour up to full (100). When doing vigilante missions, when you have a visual on the perp *-pause the game. For some strange reason when you re-enter the game the driver will always stop the car and get out. This makes it a damn sight easier to do multiple consecutive vigilante missions without having to change your car. Also if you are playing in Portland before getting access to Staunton – during some of the vigilante missions the bad guy will be driving a nice cheetah or infernus. Not having to trash the car to kill the guy means you can then take a nice lovely new sports car back to your garage (and hope it doesn’t disappear!). This makes Turismo a lot easier later on. *

Yes, I too have experienced the disappearing car act many times. *It would not bother me so much, but dozens of innocents had to die in order for me to attain those cars. OK, I really did not have to kill anybody, but I did anyway...... :2devilish:

6 cars in the garage on Staunton Island? *they'd have to be small cars, and even if you managed it you'd smash them up trying to get one out to drive it. *i only save one vehicle at a time, just whatever i happen to have 'borrowed' from the locals. *the FBI Car took so long to get i kept it until i delivered all the others to the crane in Portland Harbor the vigilante misions are really useful to get all the cars for the Import/Export garage. *i got everything except the Dodo before i left Portland Island. SpeedDemon, park the car very close to your garage, get out and the door should open, then get back in the car and drive on in. *you'll likely smash the cars up but it's no big deal with the magic mechanics in there. *getting the cars back out undamaged is another story. speaking of which...did anyone know you can blow up the same car over and over? *just park in the garage on Staunton Island, near the back wall, walk to just inside the door and toss a grenade or shoot the car up, then time it so the car blows up just before the door closes. *i've only managed to blow up a car three times in a row, the fourth time i timed it late and the car disappeared.

Ok, let me explain how i got 6 cars in the garage. First of all - park the first 2 cars a close as possible (but not touching) at bottom of the garage. Now if you attempt to park any more the garage doors wont open, that is true. This is what i did: Drive up to the garage doors at an angle (front left/right bumper touching garage door). Now when you get out of the car you will be close enough for the garage doors to open; as soon as it starts opening - turn around and get back in the car and drive quickly in. Its that simple. The tricky part is getting the garage door to close (so that you can save them) once youve walked out. Park the cars neatly facing forward into garage but NOT touching each other - when you walk out the garage the doors should close. It worth knowing that you can move the cars yourself by just moving against them if you want make space or get into the car. I had a Cheetah, Infernus, Banshee, Stinger, Cop car, and an Ice cream van all in one garage. But of course this GTA3 and after around the 5th save some b*stard will nick them! ps thanks for extra tips Gideon, and no - i did not know all that.

tanner - i can't seem to earn unlimited ammo with your tip above!! * as i understand, with guns already have, you enter your garage and choose 'save game'. when you get to the list of saved games, you cancel and return to your current game. *when i try this, i end up with the same amount of ammo?? thanks

Blackbox you are doing everything right except picking up the ammo outside the garage. You should find 9mm ammo (others such as Uzi ammo - if you've earned it) - pick it up , go into save area, do not save but cancel. When you walk out the save area the ammo is replaced - *just pick it up and repeat process. I would'nt bother with the 9mm ammo but the Uzi ammo is well worth it.
