Default Marvel vs Capcom 2 Bonus Characters
Hi!

I looked into the hint book on this website but it didn't give me the info that I was looking for. Hints on other sites say that I need beat Abyss in Score Attack Mode to unlock the bonus characters. My question is, For this to work, do I need to unlock all the normal content first (ie..stages, characters, extra colors) before I try to get the bonus characters? Please let me know. Thanks!

No, it does not hinge on beating other content first. You should be able to get the characters unlocked before unlocking some other content.
