Hello
I am new to Kingdom Hearts. I have both games 1 and 2. I am currently stuck in Kingdom hearts one right now, A girl standing by the mail box in the first district says that Leon is in the channel near the alley way. I went there and there are bars in my way. What do I have to do to get the bars to open? Also, this game won't let me back into the Colusiem area again is that because I have to complete something in another world to get back in there? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank YOU

Thanks for the input. I already found a way to get into the channel in the alley way before reading your thread. After I got in I went to the vacant house that was not vacant any longer. I have gotten as far as Aladdin in the cave of wonders. Trying to defeat those enemies is really a challange. Any advise would be helpful

Exactly what enemies are you talking about Misty? The regular old enemies or the bosses?

I could give you some advice on either. Just let me know which.

I will give you this advice as far as the Cave of Wonders is concerned though: Have Aladdin on your team. He is needed to complete several "Call" options which are important once you get further into the Cave of Wonders.

Aladdin is already on my team. The cave of wonders spits out several enimies. Flying monkeys, dark ones with tin hats, then there are fat one's that are Red and spit out fire balls. Starts out with a few then There are so many that it is hard to kill them all. I can barely hit magic and cure before they are all on top of me. Sometimes I don't get the chance to hit cure. I try to hit the enimes back into the cave using my key like a bat. Hard to get myself into a good position to be able to do that. Any suggestions would be really helpful. Thanks

Okay Misty, here's my advice:

1) Create a shortcut to your cure spell.

This is done by selecting "Customize" in the Menu when you press start. (You can't do it while battling though) If you hit customize a window will come up with three Buttons: One for Triangle, One for Square, and one for X. Select Sora and then select one of those slots. Let's say for example you select X. Once you select X a list of your known Magic spells will appear and select Cure for that. Now you have created a shortcut. This will save you time when it comes to battling hard bosses. Instead of having to sort through the long magic menu, you just hit L1 + (whatever button you placed Cure on which in this case would be X) Then you select whom you need to cure and it'll cure you.

2) Battling the Cave of Wonders

First off, ignore the heartless. Leave the Heartless for Goofy and Donald to take care of. That's what they're there for. What you have to do is climb up onto the Cave of Wonders face and stab it's eyes. (gruesome I know) How you get onto the Cave of Wonders is you climb up it's back and use R1 to target the eyes and start slashing away. If you get low on HP start using the Cure shortcut..but it really shouldn't be too bad.
