My daughter started playing it today. There seems to be a slight problem with the characters on her team.

The main character "Vaan" is standing there looking at the surrounding. The other two are Fran and Balthier. Those two immediatly start beating up Vaan.
Then, from the beating Vaan dies and it says "Game Over". When ever throughout the game the main character stands still just for a few seconds the other two start beating him up. Is this part of the game, or is this a game glitch. My daughter does not quite understand why this happens. She has found no way to avoid this problem that keeps reacurring.

Can you help us here, or is this out of your reach? I have never seen a final fantasy game do this.

Sounds like a glitch to me. Have your daughter check Fran and Balthier's gambits. She could have accidentally them set up to attack vaan. If she does it would say Target: Ally Vaan and then Attack or something like that.

The weird part is that when one character dies you just give control to another character. It shouldn't say game over until every character in your party dies.

If you are early in the game and Fran and Balthier haven't fully joined your party they would be guests and thats why it would be game over. Let me know which point in the game you are at so I can think of anything else.

She is at Golmore (East).

I will ask her to check the statis of the two characters and possibly make some changes to keep them from being so mean. Thank you.

She fixed the gamebit thing, and it works. However, when she goes to play it the next day the characters are doing it again. She has to constantly change the gamebit to keep it from happening again.
