| Hello Ese, and welcome to Absolute-playstation. Now for your question... First of all a couple of questions for you, does the same thing happen to all your games (the pause screen coming up all the time I mean) or just Theme Hospital? Are you using a PS1 or PS2 controller? If any of those two answers are YES, then it could be a faulty controller. If both answers are no (so in other words, you're using a PS2 controller and the pause screen doesn't appear automatically, over and over, for any other game) then I'm personally stumped. It could be a fualty disk but it's doubtful that that's the reason. Maybe one of the other staff have an idea Jay |

| I received a message back from one of the other staff members, and I believe we've solved the problem. It's so simple, I dunno why I didn't think of it. Especially as the exact same thing happened to me. You see, Theme Hospital was made Pre-Dual-Shock, meaning that if you have the light lit up on the controller (meaning that the controller is in Analog mode) then the game thinks there is no controller inserted, hence why the Pause screen keeps coming up. Just press the Analog button in the center of the control to turn the red LED light off, and the game should work perfectly for you. Don't hesitate to contact us again if either that doesn't work, or you have other gaming problems. Jay Site Squad |
