Question

hi

can someone give me some good tips for reliably getting
onto rails in SSX ? once i'm on them i am fine - but to get
on it i have to line it up soooo accurately and if you mess
up you get your face planted into the snow.. is there an
easier (reliable!!) way to get onto them..?

someone suggested boosting on them but you still need
to be very accurate.. is there a way to get the board
sideways as you hit it?

thanks for any tips..

I don't know if you know this (it took me a week to figure it out), but you can balance on the rails by using the right stick.
Other than that, i guess it just comes down to skill...

Yeah what killa said. But when you grind turn you body so your board is grinding the middle of the board. This will make balancing alout easier.

Greetings Prosser!
In order to get on the rails somewhat easy you do have to practice a lot!!!!! You are going about it right and after sometime it will be easy for you.
I know as this is my favorite game and BOY did I work at it to get my gold metals....
Once you are able to stay on the rails, try doing some tricks like back flips and stuff like that.
Once you get to pipedreams you will have to be very good to stay on the rails and get the big points.

OK so practice is the only thing?

I have got Elise and Zoe to 'Master' level quite easily
(working on Moby now) but I still end up missing some
rails completely.. (and that often results in me banging
my head on them!) -- Elise is definitely the best character
in the game.. very fast and quick at tricks..

I find that if i approach at a slight angle I can get on
easier.. I think it might be possible to approach in a
straight line do a small jump when near the start of rail
and flick the board sideways and land on the rail..

I will have to see because sometimes when i try to do
a small jump i end up jumping the entire rail because i'm
at max boost. *Need to learn how/when to jump onto it..
