AFTER PLAYING THIS GAME (ATTEMPTING TO PLAY THIS GAME) I REACH A DEAD END EACH TIME I REACH THE FIRST DUEL. *NO MATTER HOW OFTEN I TRY TO WIN THIS DUEL, I ALWAYS FAIL. *I HAVE THE GAME GUIDE AND NUMEROUS OTHER INSTRUCTION ON HOW TO CONDUCT THE DUEL, BUT I FAIL EACH TIME. *I REALLY WANT TO PLAY THIS GAME BUT, I CANNOT GET PAST THE FIRS DUEL . *CAN ANYBODY OUT THERE GIVE ME SOME ADVICE.....THAT WORKS!

[color=blue] First of all my friend, edit your post and make it all lower case. Youll get reemed and might lose posts if you keep it in all caps, its considered shouting. As for the duel, there has to be a way to beet him, if not try finding a code to skip that level of the game. If all else fails use a code. Hope this assists you

Watch the bottom of the screen carefully. Pause the *game (if it's possible) and look at the things carefully. If your stuck after the last duel in there go back to town and use the item he gives you on well post again if you need to.

This applies to pretty much any game with that sort of battle system.

Watch the enemy closely, without atacking.
After a while i'm sure you'll see how it attacks, what sort of technique it uses, then you'll be able to block and attack at just the right time.

Remember, it's not a real person, but it is programmed to make mistakes. It will always let it's guard down at some stage, maybe right before it attacks. Find that time, and attack.

I havn't actually played Dark Cloud, but it's a good technique for Zelda-type battle systems.

Greetings. *The duel is alot more simple than it looks.

First become familiar with the set up on the controller. *Then you should have no trouble finding the proper buttons to press at the right time. *All you have to do is press the correct button when it appears in the white part (between the two blue lines) in the scrolling bar. *Remember to use the normal directional buttons (not the analog stick) to improve your chances of beating the duel.

All it requires is good timing and patience. *Don't pay attention to what is going on with your character, just follow the pattern of button clicks. *If you can play Parapa the rappa you can do this duel.

(ps. edit out the caps by pressing on the little icon above your message titled "edit". *All caps are a major no no here. *See forum rules for more information on that)
