If you do that then you CAN complete the game in ooh about 30-40 hours, maybe a little more.
However, you probably missed all the Hunts from MontBlanc, and all the "extra" summons (i know they're not called "summons" in this game, but i always forget what they're called) like Chaos and Ultima etc...
There is also the whole "Hunter's Camp" that you can join so you can get records of all the Rare Game throughout FFXII. Doing this gives you access to weapons, shields, and items all from one place. The more Rare Game you prove you've beatn, the better the things you can purchase.
So, basically, it sounds like you have probably missed out on quite a few things. Personally, I like to try to do everything you can do, but you obviously don't have to do that. Doing it just increases the lastability of a great game
