Ok i know you cant play VCD's on the PS2 but is there some external device i can buy to make this possible ?

You can get VCD players that you can connect to your tv...usually they run about $200+. Well, i hope that you enjoy posting and have fun gaming.

I've been hunting around the net and have found a movie card (that plays VCD's) but its for the Playstation and cost the same price as a PS1 (thats probably what i'll go for). There does'nt seem to be any similar device for the PS2 just yet.

VCDs - Video Compact Disc's are movies but on cd instead of DVD - Digital Video Disc. You can get some pretty hiden stuff on VCD that is at a good price(about $10). Well, i hope that you enjoy posting and have fun gaming.

Quite so Rican but that's not to say that all VCDs are illegal copies. A large proportion of Chinese and Japanese original language movies - especially Anime - are in VCD format.
