Unhappy

Hi!

My PS2 is acting kindof strange. During startup the graphics lock after a whlie.
Sometimes itīs all black, sometimes gamedisks even load and play, then locks.
Sound often continues to work. Even with no disk in the tray, I canīt get access to the system setup etc...
Sounds like a BIOS problem?

The unit is 14 months old (no guarantee left), so I could consider opening it up just to lightly press the circuits before I take it to the repairs.
Maybe this is a really BAD idea, but if anyone has experienced something like this, maybe U could tell me how to do

[SIZE=2]I wouldn't bother with pressing on the circuit boards-considering what you've said the system is doing I would recommend taking it to repairs ASAP.If you go into the system yourself beforehand they may try saying you did it going in where you weren't supposed to.

Call Sony and give as good a description as possible-you will most likely have to send it in (at your expense) but at least that would be far cheaper than buying a new system (which is the only other recourse at this point).
