Hey you know how when the playstation came out and it didnt have analog or the virbration function, then like 2 yrs. later they came out with dual shock analog control for ps1. Well I was wondering.... Is the playstation2 going to come out with a new controler for its console??????

You see controllers for the PS2 are tricky as they have pressure sensitive buttons and depending on how much you jam on the buttons will determine it's life. That's the way that Sony decides when they need to make a new controller. When controller sales begin to drop off it's almost as if the proverbial buttons have been mashed to much and it's time to make another controller. You must remember that the 3rd party makers are trying to come up with new and inovative ways to take Sony's controller purchases and turn them into their own. You see they even are working on a Duel "Shock" controller that will work just the way that it's name states. It will shock you, not with very high voltge and it's supposed to give you a better feel of the game and how to play it. Now, i'm not sure when the "buttons" will be too mashed but i do know that when it does happen you will see a new Sony controller and not any sooner. Yeah i aggree with the "if it ain't broke don't fix it" idea. Sony has the best controller out there for sure, it doesn't matter which console you are talking about. I think that lots of other game companies like nintendo, and Microsoft will try to copy the controller design to some extent. (which they both have for their new consoles)
